2. JD McKissic

We get it, alright. McKissic is a fan favorite and the lifeblood of the offense right now. In seven games, the versatile RB has 464 yards from scrimmage, 33 catches (second on the team) and two total touchdowns.

Beyond the box score, though, McKissic is responsible for some of Washington’s biggest moments of the season, including their wins against the Giants and Falcons, when he ripped off big plays with the team trailing late.

In other words, McKissic’s stock has never been higher. He might be the best pass-catching back in the league not named Alvin Kamara and Christian McCaffrey. He posted 80 catches last year and has 20 in his last three games.

See what we’re saying? Sure, it’s terrifying to think what Washington’s offense would look like without McKissic, but it’s worth noting he’s on an expiring contract and there are countless contenders — like the Rams, Chiefs, Titans, Bills and Ravens — in need of a player with McKissic’s skillset.

Bottom line? If Washington can recoup a Day 3 pick for a 28-year-old back on an expiring contract, that’d be a tremendous piece of business.
