6. Antonio Gandy-Golden

The toughest spot here has to be this final roster spot, it will likely go to Washington’s 2020 fourth-round selection, Antonio Gandy-Golden.

AGG had a rollercoaster ride of a rookie season. From injuries to inconsistency, when he was out on the field, Gandy-Golden did himself zero favors after a forgettable rookie campaign.

The vibes in camp have been a bit different, with AGG improving throughout every aspect of the position and coming back stronger than he initially came in.

Gandy-Golden gets the nod over Kelvin Harmon, DeAndre Carter, and others due to the upside he brings at the position, the ability to impact the run-game as a blocker and the fact that the Rivera regime selected him in the 4th round just one season ago.

AGG will likely make the team if he proves to be effective at doing the little things, like run-blocking and an ability to impact special teams.

Interestingly enough, Gandy-Golden’s work as a run-blocker was by far his best attribute last season, but Rivera and Co. will likely hope he can make a leap as a receiver and carve out a role in the wide reciever rotation.

Nonetheless, the upside with AGG is too significant to pass up after just one injury-filled season. The glass isn’t empty when it comes to Gandy-Golden or his game, therefore playing the long game here with this former 4th round pick may be the correct approach going forward.
