No. 5 – Offensive Line

2021 – Charles Leno, Ereck Flowers, Chase Roullier, Brandon Scherff, Cornelius Lucas, Samuel Cosmi, Wes Schweitzer, Saahdiq Charles

2020 – Cornelius Lucas, Wes Schweitzer, Chase Roullier, Brandon Scherff, Morgan Moses, Wes Martin, Geron Christian

Grading the big boys up front is difficult, but the value of these guys is immeasurable. I’d argue the 2020 offensive line, despite the tough start to the season, was one of the more underrated positional groups on the team as the season progressed.

Nonetheless, the unit needed upgrades with aging veterans like Moses and the long-term uncertainty of All-Pro Brandon Scherff, who is playing on his second franchise tag. The team needed to be proactive for the future.

The Washington Football Team used a second-round pick on Sam Cosmi, the freakishly athletic big man out of Texas.  Eventually, Cosmi will hopefully be the  anchor of the offensive line for the next decade and be the next in a long line of great tackles to play in Washington.  The additions of Flowers and Leno provide the Washington Football Team with experienced players and great depth across the line.
