Washington Football Team Roster: Long-snapper and special teams linemen

The Washington Football Team will have a new long snapper for the first time in more than a decade.  Fan-favorite Nick Sundberg didn’t receive a new contract during the off-season and his career is likely over.

Former Michigan long snapper Camaron Cheeseman is set to take Sundberg’s place after being selected in the sixth round of the NFL draft.

Other linemen will include most of the starters on offense, but there will be some exceptions.  Here is a list of the linemen who could see double duty as special teams blockers.

More from Riggo's Rag

Linemen

  • Brandon Scherff
  • Saahdiq Charles
  • Wes Schweitzer
  • Camaron Cheeseman
  • Cornelius Lucas
  • Sam Cosmi
  • Morgan Moses
  • Ereck Flowers
  • David Sharp
  • Beau Benzschawel
  • Logan Thomas (LTE)
  • John Bates (RTE)
  • Tyrone Swoopes (L/RTE)
  • Marcus Baugh (L/RTE)
  • Sammis Reyes (L/RTE)

2021 Prediction: The linemen that will be on the field for special teams duty is unknown at this time.  The left and right ends (for field goals, extra points, and punts) that are all but penciled in should be Thomas and Bates.  Baugh, Reyes, and Swoopes are longshots for such duty.
