The 2021 NFL Draft is now in the history books. It is time for an initial look at the draft selections and assign grades to the Washington Football Team for each prospect.

Whew!  Are you fully recovered from the three days of madness that the 2021 NFL Draft created?  Were there any surprises from the Washington Football Team?  Are you happy with the players that were selected?

The build-up to this draft began in mid-winter and waiting for the draft itself was excruciatingly slow, but the three-day event went by faster than a greased cheetah that’s strapped to a bullet train.  Theatrics aside, it is now evaluation season – evaluate the roster, evaluate individual players, evaluate the schedule, etc.

Washington Football Team 2021 NFL Draft grades

The list of players that Washington drafted is diverse and full of talent.  A quick examination of most analysts across the football world have given high marks to the Burgundy and Gold, but there are a few exceptions.

It’s nice to see the team receiving such recognition, but building a roster that is praiseworthy doesn’t guarantee success on the playing field.  The players need to perform and produce positive results, but today is going to be devoted to grading the team round-by-round.

Grading a draft class immediately after the draft itself is always going to be premature.  The truer grades are generally known approximately three years later.  Don’t misunderstand, posting grades for you now comes with the aforementioned caveat.

Rest assured that we will be analyzing this draft class in a few years and the actual impact will become easier to grade.  Let’s see how yours truly is grading the 2021 Washington Football Team draft.
