30. player. 16. . Running Back. Buffalo Bills. Travis Etienne

The Bills are in the market for a running back and have made that much known. The scuttlebutt in the lead-up to the draft is that they’re interested in Travis Etienne and that they may be willing to move up for him.

Why would they do that? Well, if they believe Najee Harris will go earlier than the 24th pick or that the Steelers may prefer the Clemson product to the Alabama product, they could make a move. If not, they could stay put and hope he makes it here.

Etienne is a talented, explosive back that has accounted for a  whopping 78 total touchdowns during his career. He ran for at least 1,600 yards in back-to-back seasons and profiles as a true three-down back at the next level.

Might Etienne have some issues with fumbles and ball security? Yes. But those can be coached up. It’s rare that you find a player that is as explosive as Etienne and his 5-foot-10, 205-pound frame should allow him to hold up as a workhorse for the Bills.

The Bills envisioned Zack Moss and Devin Singletary being an effective duo, but that didn’t pan out. Etienne could be the true dynamic backfield threat the team needs to take their offense to the next level. And with Moss as a between-the-tackles backup and Singletary as a pass-catching backup, the roles in the Bills backfield will surely be more defined and better.

And as a result, that will make this already-solid team deeper.
