13. Los Angeles Chargers: Northwestern OT Rashawn Slater

Last offseason, one of the most commonly mocked selections was Justin Herbert to the Chargers. Now, a year later, Rashawn Slater is one of the most popular picks at No. 13. It feels wrong to simply go with the flow here, but Slater does make a lot of sense for Los Angeles, now that they have their franchise quarterback in place.

Slater is an excellent athlete at tackle, and he also has serviceable size. He’s not the longest player, but he’s dense, authoritative, and incredibly versatile. He can start at tackle, or move around the line if the Chargers need him to. With Herbert now in tow, the line can no longer be a recurring concern.
