Round 3, Pick No. 82: Tommy Tremble, TE, Notre Dame

With the final pick of this mock draft, the WFT selects TE Tommy Tremble from Notre Dame. If you look up the word “potential” you might just see a picture of Tommy Tremble.

Per Pro Football Network Draft Analyst Tony Pauline, Tremble is an “athletic tight end who flashed dominance as both a blocker and a pass catcher.” At 6’4″, 248 pounds, the former Fighting Irish player fits the mold of a player that, if used properly, can really excel at the next level. When watching the film, all Tremble does is flash, especially with his tenacious blocking effort as seen via Twitter.

The tight end position for Washington is a position that needs to be beefed up considerably. Logan Thomas came out of nowhere last season by putting up an unexpected 72-catch season to go along with six touchdowns. To help this offense, having another tight end like Tremble will just provide another tool for an offense that needs more explosion and toughness at the point of attack.

Because of Tremble’s speed and willingness to get dirty in the run game, he would be an instant upgrade at the position over other WFT tight ends who primarily played last year, including the now-departed Jeremy Sprinkle. Tremble’s college production was modest at best, but one would imagine he would instantly become more of a receiving threat than Sprinkle ever was.

At this point of the draft Tremble may be a slight reach depending on who you ask and believe, but he does truly have value and high upside.
