The options at tight end are limited in the upcoming free agency period. So, in addition to the two predictions on the previous page, the Washington Football Team could add a tight end in the 2021 NFL draft.
The front office will carry no more than three tight ends on the roster this fall. Logan Thomas has a secured place on the roster and any draft pick is likely to have the same status.
There are no other desirable options from the restricted free agent list. Washington is very unlikely to engage in any bidding wars for any free agent tight end. There are plenty of options in the draft and the front office will probably sign inexpensive tight ends only, if at all.
The free-agent talent pool for tight ends is rather thin this offseason and Washington could be a non-participant.
