Potential Washington Football Team free agent WR gems in 2021
Kendrick Bourne, 49ers
Bourne played alongside Cooper Kupp at Eastern Washington University, before signing with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
The only two seasons in which Bourne had opportunities to start, he took advantage of his opportunities. In 2018, Bourne started eight games after Pierre Garcon went down with an injury. He finished the year with 42 receptions for 487 yards and four touchdowns, second on the team behind only George Kittle.
In 2020, Bourne got five starts, and despite mediocre quarterback play, finished with a career-high 49 receptions for 667 yards and two touchdowns, second on the team behind rookie Brandon Aiyuk.
Bourne averaged 13.6 yards per reception but did have six drops on the year. He has the ability to play outside and in the slot and could provide another versatile option for Washington.
The free agent market is loaded with wide receivers this offseason, so that should give the Washington Football Team a good opportunity to bring in one to two high-value receivers without breaking the bank.
Who do you want to see Washington bring in to enhance the receiving corps?
