Predictions 7-10

Prediction 7

Khaleke Hudson was the next focus in our list of 10 bold predictions for the Washington Football Team.  He fell short of our inflated numbers for him, but Hudson had a decent rookie season on special teams and performed well late in the season as a reserve linebacker.  The former Michigan Wolverine could make many positive contributions in 2021 and beyond.

Self-Grade: C

Prediction 8

Tress Way couldn’t reach the outrageous benchmarks that we set for him in 2020.  The prized punter was solid once again this past season and there is no reason to think his career is going to diminish anytime soon.

Way produced his second-best season overall since joining the Burgundy and Gold in 2014.  It wouldn’t be too surprising to see Way breaking his own personal records in 2021

Self-Grade: C

Prediction 9

Ronald Darby was thought to be a risky signing, but we believed in him and said that 2020 was going to be a very good season for the former Eagle.  Thank you, Philadelphia!  Darby exceeded many of our predictions, but didn’t come close to our interception number.  His reward will likely be a new contract in the coming weeks.

Self-Grade: B

Prediction 10

The final prediction centered on the Washington Football Team and here is basically what was predicted.

  • An NFC East Championship.
  • Alex Smith playing in two games (he played in more than two contests).
  • The defense ranks as third-best in the league (it was second best).
  • Chase Young is a candidate for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year (he won it!).

Yours truly missed on three other predictions, but not by much.  It’s nice to see these predictions come to fruition or close to it.

Self-Grade: B

The 2021 NFL season is less than seven months away.  That seems like an eternity, but it will be here before you know it.  There will also be plenty of bold predictions later this summer.  All that remains now is an overall self-grade for these ten predictions.

Overall Self-Grade: C-

Next. Washington should consider signing Tre Boston. dark

I’ll try to do a better job with the 2021 predictions.
