OL Jermaine Eluemunor, Patriots

When looking for under-the-radar offensive linemen, finding versatility helps. Jermaine Eluemunor provides that.

During his career, the 6-foot-4, 335-pound Eluemunor has played the guard position but he can also suit up as a tackle. He’s better on the interior, but he’s definitely serviceable enough to start at the tackle position if needed as he did at times for the Patriots.

Washington doesn’t have a lot of depth on their offensive line. While their top-five options have proven to be solid, their backups are either unproven or uninspiring. And in reality, you can never have too much depth on the offensive line.

Eluemunor likely wouldn’t prove to be an expensive addition for Washington. They could opt to pay him as a backup, but he could emerge as a starter if one of the team’s starters were to go down with an injury. Or, he could battle for the right guard spot should Brandon Scherff head elsewhere in free agency (which seems unlikely).

Either way, Eluemunor, 26, still has plenty of upside. He could emerge as a quality starter in the right situation, so Washington could take a cheap flyer on him in the hopes that he can exceed expectations and battle for a starter spot. And even if he doesn’t win, he would be an upgrade as a backup guard/tackle option.
