Round 3, Pick 74:  WR Elijah Moore, Ole Miss

Elijah Moore is absolutely electrifying. He had modest production throughout his first two seasons at Ole Miss, but during his junior year, he exploded on to the scene. He totaled over 1,000 yards and was an absolute threat to score every time he touched the ball.

Moore’s stats on paper are impressive but the tape speaks for itself too. He has elite speed and quickness. A quick twitch and great after the catch ability that was awe inspiring in 2020. For a smaller body type, he was very solid at the catch point, too. He displayed strong hands and was able to make numerous tough grabs.

Moore played both at the outside WR spot and in the slot. However, his body type and his quick-twitch makes him most suited to play in the slot. His coach, Lane Kiffin, compared him to Steve Smith Sr. High praise, I must say.

Moore could use a little more consistency in his routes and improve his ability to break at the stem quicker. But those are just small things that Moore needs to work on with his route running.

Moore’s speed, quickness, strong hands, and elite contact balance speak for themselves. He has all the potential to be an elite big play threat in the NFL. He falls to the third round in this simulation due to the quality depth at WR in the 2021 class. Washington should run to the podium if he is available at pick 74.
