4. WR D’Wayne Eskridge Western Michigan

D’Wayne Eskridge is a burner. He is an elite athlete. If I had to guess, I bet he will run somewhere in the mid 4.3-to low 4.4 range on his 40 time. That is Eskridge’s clear strength. He can beat you with speed.

His speed is not just straight-line speed, either. He has a quick twitch that allows him to make sudden changes of movement. He is very elusive with the ball in his hands, profiling him as an elite threat after the catch.

He also showed some bounce, as he was able to attack the ball at the catch point in contested catch situations. If he can do that at the next level, that will just be another added tool to the tool box, that will make him a dynamic threat.

His frame may come as a concern at the next level, but many teams can use a deep burner like Eskridge. The Washington Football Team is no different. His athleticism may catapult him to a Day 2 pick. As of now, I would expect him to be taken early on Day 3.
