6. LT Geron Christian

Geron Christian was sidelined for a large majority of the year. So, maybe with a little more time, he could have improved his play. With that said, like Sharpe, as of now Christian is just good depth.

Despite his added upper body strength, Christian still got blown up at times in pass protection. He would be carried into the backfield and the quarterback would be forced to step up in the pocket earlier than expected. Other times, he simply looks flat-footed and he gets beat off the edge.

In the run game, his athletic traits allow him to be pretty nimble in space. But like Wes Martin, he still seems tentative in space. He too often wanted to seal his man and move both him and his target out of the way. That would sometimes just clog up the lane.

Geron Christian will be entering his contract year next year. His athletic profile may give him one more chance to compete for a starting spot. But he must refine his skills or he will just be a backup swing tackle.

Grade: D+ (67)
