8. LG Wes Martin

Wes Martin struggled this year. That’s for sure. As of today, the second-year guard is too raw in his skill set to be much more than depth on the offensive line. And even then I think to be quality depth, he has to improve.

The strength of the NFL seems to be a big problem for Martin. He too often gets blown up off the ball. It is hard to run behind him as he is tentative in space. In general, it seems he has not caught up with the quicker and more powerful players of the NFL.

Given that he is only now entering his second offseason as an NFL player, I still think he is worth keeping around for one more shot. Let him come back and compete in camp. Maybe he improves and his body can catch up to the NFL.

As of now, however, he is just depth on the interior at best.
