Positive 2 – Playoff Game

Cam Sims returned to his mid-season form on Wild Card Saturday after hauling in seven catches for 104 yards, including a 36-yard effort.  Sims was thought to be no more than a practice squad member last summer and 2020 was possibly his last gasp as an NFL receiver.  What a difference we see a few months later.  Sims took many steps forward in 2020 and his future looks much better heading into 2021.

Positive 2 – 2020 Season

The Alex Smith story is amazing and inspirational.  His determination to return to football was questioned by media, analysts, and fans for many months, but Smith proved the naysayers wrong.  Smith’s future is unknown for now, but there can be no doubt that he is worthy of “Comeback Player of the Year” honors from the NFL

Negative 2 – Playoff Game

The linebackers have been a liability for most of the season, but this unit was severely abused by the quarterback, running backs, tight ends, and wide receivers from Tampa Bay on Saturday.  The only linebacker to have any semblance of a decent game was Cole Holcomb, but the rest were absolute clunkers (remember that word?).

Negative 2 – 2020 Season

First half woes persisted for most of the 2020 campaign as the Washington Football Team often found themselves trailing at halftime in many games.  It is an issue that deserves plenty of scrutiny and attention during the offseason.  Such problems need to vanish before the 2021 regular season arrives.
