Final Thoughts

Your Washington Football Team is the 2020 NFC East champion and that didn’t seem possible two months ago.

With a playoff game coming on Saturday, Washington has a reasonable chance to advance to a date with Green Bay the following week.  Yes, the Burgundy and Gold finished the regular season with a record of 7-9, but winning five of their last seven games has afforded them an opportunity to build on their recent success.

Can the coaches and players finally put together two good halves on Saturday night?  This team has found ways to get it done in recent weeks and playing another game in mid-January is truly possible.

For now and the next eight months, we can label this team as a division champion.  Enjoy it fans, your dedication to this organization has paid many dividends in recent week.  A playoff victory (or more) will simply be another gift to cherish.

At this time next week, we could be talking about a team that is heading to the frozen tundra of Northern Wisconsin or a season that made you proud to be a fan.  There will be time to talk about the 2020 season in the coming weeks and what to expect in 2021.  For now, let’s focus on this playoff game on Saturday night against Tampa Bay and see what transpires.
