Week 17 Analysis and Prediction

Week 17: Washington at Philadelphia

  • Site: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
  • Time: Sunday, 01/03, 8:20pm EST

Can the Washington Football Team bounce back after two straight losses?  A division title is on the line and a defeat here would hand the title to New York or Dallas.  If Washington wins, they are the NFC East champions.

Sunday’s game against Philadelphia is the most important contest in five years.  The Eagles would love to pin a loss on their division rival and eliminate Washington from the post-season.

The game remains close via field goals and little in the way of touchdowns.  Philadelphia produces two turnovers late in the game to thwart Washington’s 2020 dreams of an NFC East title.  Washington finishes at 6-10, but there are many solid pieces to build upon in 2021

Players who will shine on Sunday include Taylor Heinicke, Antonio Gibson, Logan Thomas, J.D. McKissic, Montez Sweat, Ronald Darby, Chase Young, and Kamren Curl.

Prediction:  Philadelphia 26  Washington 22

Personal Record: 6-9

There is the final game prediction for the 2020 regular season.  More grades are coming next week after the Sunday evening game.  At that time, we’ll have a prediction for the playoff game if Washington is victorious vs. the Eagles.
