Washington Football Team: Key numbers from win over the 49ers
Some less-friendly key numbers — with one exception
47: The first half struggles continued for Washington’s offensive as they looked anemic through the first two quarters. The team only managed 46 rushing yards the entire first half. To put that in perspective, Chase Young covered 47 yards on his fumble recovery return.
Almost on cue, Washington’s offense looked much improved to start the second half as J.D. McKissic had two 17-yard runs on the first drive of the second half, with Peyton Barber also chipping in some tough yards. Washington would finish the first drive of the second half with 47 yards, more than they covered in the entire first half.
33: Washington typically starts games fairly slowly, and were averaging only 70 yards and 3.3 points per game in the first quarter coming into today’s match-up. Those struggles continued as they scored 0 in the first quarter and only picked up 33 total yards with only five of those yards coming from the passing game.

I know nobody wants to say it, but this team missed Antonio Gibson, and the sooner they get him back, the better.
211: Coming into this game, the 49ers were the most-injured team in the entire NFL, with a combined 211 games lost across their team. They also lead the league in players on injured reserve with 22.
The injury bug continued to impact the Niners against Washington as they lost one of their top weapons, Deebo Samuel on the first play of the game after he picked up nine yards on the ground. They also lost their top tackler, middle linebacker Fred Warner early in the second half of the game.
1,001: Despite being held in check for the second game in a row, with only two catches for 24 yards, Terry McLaurin surpassed 1,000 yards for the season, for the first time in his young career. Although McLaurin only has four receptions for 38 yards over the last two games, he still has the 10th most receiving yards in the NFL, which shows just how big of an impact he has on this team.
119 vs. 108: After Deebo Samuel went down with an injury, rookie WR Brandon Aiyuk stepped it up for the Niners. He caught 10 passes for 119 yards, surpassing the total receiving yards for Washington’s entire team, 108.
