1. Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Ryan Kerrigan combine for five sacks

This game is a revenge spot for Trent Williams. Though the veteran won’t admit it, he probably wants to beat his former team after the issues he had with them at the end of his tenure with the team.

While Williams will look to bring his A-game, Washington is well-positioned to spoil it. The team’s defensive line has been playing incredibly well lately and both Chase Young and Montez Sweat are a big part of the reason why. The two young, first-round studs are quickly becoming one of the most feared pass rush duos in the NFL, and they should have a chance to get some pressure on Nick Mullens.

Williams vs. Young and Sweat will be fun to watch. It will be a good litmus test for the young duo and let them know whether or not they’re ready to put up big numbers against one of the NFL’s best blockers over the last decade.

That said, there’s reason to believe these two freaky athletes will be able to get into the backfield and get some consistent pressure. Williams has blocked well for the most part, but he has allowed four sacks and eight penalties. He’s more beatable than he once was, and Washington will take advantage of that, as Jack Del Rio and Ron Rivera should bring an aggressive mentality into this game.

Young and Sweat should each have two sacks in this game. Nick Mullens has been sacked multiple times in five of the eight games he has played in this year, so they should be able to tee off against him. Add in one sack of Ryan Kerrigan going against his former teammate, and the edge rushers for Washington should have a chance to rack up five sacks.
