No. 3 – Prevent the big play

Being a road team on a highly emotional Thanksgiving Day game, allowing a big play can be absolutely devastating. It can get the crowd going and swing the momentum. It can cause a snowball effect into a continued Series of Unfortunate Events.

It will be paramount that the Washington Football Team prevents the big play. They cannot get beat deep. They have to be sound at tackling quick and shifty receivers like Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb in space. I am looking at you, Troy Apke.

The Washington Football Team cannot let Ezekiel Elliott or Tony Pollard break a big run. Like the plan was against the Cincinnati Bengals, do not get beat on the big play. Bend but do not break. Andy Dalton will make a mistake eventually, or Ezekiel Elliott could get the fumble bug again.

If the Washington Football Team starts fast, makes Andy Dalton uncomfortable, and prevents the big play, they can set themselves up well to pull off the crucial victory against the Dallas Cowboys.
