3. The Reality Is, Morgan Moses at left tackle should be this line’s mascot.

The Washington offensive line has been a gritty unit this season, fighting through a variety of injuries, and managing to play effectively most of the time.

Morgan Moses’ game on Sunday was exactly that. He showed why he’s a team captain. He was available and willing. He was gritty, he was mostly effective, and he figured out a way to get the job done in his first start at left tackle since his rookie season. While he allowed one sack and a couple pressures, he settled in and helped Washington to an effective and balanced offensive game.

In many ways, that is what the whole season has been like for the offensive line and the entire team. They have consistently started slowly, and then, mostly played better than expected, to stay in games.

It will be interesting to see if Moses stays at left tackle this week, or if Cornelius Lucas comes back. Moses did a better job in the run game than any other Left Tackle has done this season for Washington, and Cornelius Lucas is more comfortable at right tackle.

One key to this game will be getting the running game started earlier. So maybe Scott Turner will tab big Mo for another start at left tackle.

My Prediction: Lucas won’t play Thursday, so Moses will get that second straight start and left tackle, and will hold up just fine against. Dallas’ defense. Look for him to get a few more opportunities to pull than he had against Cincinnati.
