1. Washington surrenders three 100-yard receivers on the day

As I mentioned earlier, Washington has the No. 1 pass defense in the NFL right now. They’re allowing under 200 passing yards per game, and their cornerback play in recent weeks has been very good.

That said, the Cowboys are going to be a tough offense to contain. Yes, Washington was able to do that a few weeks ago, but those were different circumstances. The Cowboys weren’t as healthy as they are now, especially on the offensive line. If Andy Dalton has enough time to throw, he’ll be able to take advantage of his talented receiving corps.

Amari Cooper. CeeDee Lamb. Michael Gallup. Even Dalton Schultz. The Cowboys have no shortage of receiving weapons on their roster. Dak Prescott was able to take advantage of them when he was healthy, and with Dalton healthy and having better blocking, he should have a chance to do that too.

I have a feeling that Washington is going to focus on stopped Ezekiel Elliott in this one and they won’t quite be able to contain all the Dallas receivers at once. One by one, the players will go off and the defense will adjust to slow them down only to have another player go off. Right now, Washington just doesn’t have the depth needed to cover all these options, especially at safety with Deshazor Everett hurt.

Because of these factors, Washington could allow three 100-yard receivers on the day. It won’t completely sink the team’s ship, but they’re due for a little bit of a regression against the pass. It would make sense for it to come against a motivated Cowboys offense that has quite a few weapons to exploit.
