2. Dominate the line of scrimmage

This highly-touted defensive line is coming off probably its worst game as a collective group in the 2020 season. It only generated one sack and D’Andre Swift was really productive.

Chase Young, who is still having a fantastic season, mailed in his worst performance of the year. Besides the headline penalty at the end of the game, he was getting beat in one-on-ones far too often.

In a matchup of the first overall pick, Joe Burrow, and the second overall pick, Chase Young, I look for Young to have a bounce-back performance along with the rest of the defensive line.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Bengals come in with the 27th-ranked rushing defense. On top of that, their pass defense isn’t strong either. This improving offensive line needs to impose its will against a lackluster Cincinnati front.

Dominate the line of scrimmage and get the offense going early. Use the running attack to set up the run-pass options for Scott Turner and Alex Smith to take advantage of.

With a rookie quarterback and a lackluster defensive front, it is crucial that the Washington Football Team dominates the line of scrimmage.
