No. 4 – OT David Sharpe

The Washington Football Team placed Geron Christian on injured reserve yesterday, confirming that the team’s starting left tackle will miss at least three more games after sitting out contests against the Cowboys, Giants, and Lions.

Cornelius Lucas would go in his place, but Lucas left the Detroit game early with an ankle injury, and his status is unclear for the team’s game against the Bengals. If Lucas can’t go, then the Washington Football Team may be forced to rely on third-string tackle David Sharpe, a 25-year old who’s only started four games in his four-year career.

When Lucas left the Lions game, Morgan Moses switched over to left tackle, while Sharpe filed in on the right side, and Sharpe quickly hindered the offense with sloppy play and penalties. He’ll have to sharpen up in Week 11 if he gets the call. The Bengals’ edge rushing unit isn’t a formidable unit, especially with Carlos Dunlap gone, but Sam Hubbard and Carl Lawson can still cause problems, especially against an unprepared backup.
