Five positives and negatives for Washington Football Team vs. Lions
Positive 4
Troy Apke was an easy target for fans and analysts earlier this season. His tenure at free safety was one of futility and, quite frankly, a lack of talent. He was pressed into service on Sunday after Deshazor Everett suffered an apparent high ankle sprain.
Apke didn’t make any glaring mistakes after he entered the game, but the former Nittany Lion was never really challenged down the stretch. This is not that much of a positive, but it wasn’t a negative.
Negative 4
Ryan Anderson is on this list for another week. He had no impact against the Lions whatsoever. None. Yes, he came out of the game briefly with an apparent knee injury and nothing else is known about it.
Like Apke, we are going to spend very little time here discussing Anderson. He is one step closer to having a new address next year. He has all but disappeared this season and it goes back to what was mentioned last week – Anderson is a poor fit in the 4-3.
