5. The Reality Is, good franchises don’t get swept by bad teams.

Whether or not you think the Washington Football Team should be attempting to win the division or tanking this season, you should not want your team to get swept by a division rival.

The first building-blocks in developing a winning culture in Washington are in place. Winning division games  will be another key part of the process. Getting swept by the woeful Giants would be a step back regardless of how you measure success for this team this season.

Good franchises don’t tank. Good franchises win division games and keep themselves in the playoff hunt year in and year out. For too long, Washington has lived under .500 in the NFC East. This year, with the division in a down year, they can re-set the status quo.

Washington needs to have some pride and find a way to get the season split with New York.

My Prediction: It’s uglier than we’d all like, but Washington pulls out the win 26-22 (without failing a 2-pt conversion).
