2. The Reality Is, New York is better than their record, especially on defense.

If you watched the Monday Night Football game between Tampa Bay and New York, then you know that the Giants aren’t terrible. In fact, that could be an encouraging sign to Washington, given how closely they played the Giants three weeks ago.

Tampa Bay is probably the most complete team in the NFC, and the Giants almost squeaked out the win. The Giants’ defense got a few key stops against the high-octane Tampa Bay offense. They were able to pressure Brady at points, and they were able to get a defensive score off a fumble recovery as well.

Make no mistake. They are not a good team. They are mistake-prone and under-manned in various positions, especially the offensive line and wide receiver position. But they are not as bad as Dallas. And they are well-coached and they play hard.

My Prediction: New York ends up with a better record than Dallas this season, and though it pains me to say it, Joe Judge turns into a solid long-term coach for the Giants.
