Offense

Cam Sims was thought to be in his final weeks as a Washington Football Team player in late July, but he has proven to be a valuable asset on special teams.  He has also caught a few key passes this year.  Sims is a restricted free agent and the team should retain him.  Would he be interested in gaining some weight and moving to tight end?

Dontrelle Inman was added to the roster before training camp after Kelvin Harmon went down with a season-ending injury.  Inman is only a stopgap for this season and nothing more.  The team should move on from him after 2020.

Jeremy Sprinkle has performed an incredible disappearing act right before our very eyes in 2020.  He has all of one catch this season.  It’s time to move on from him.

Michael Liedtke is on injured reserve.  We think he is an offensive lineman, but the only thing offensive about him is that he is making some good money while doing nothing.  He will not return – we think.

Brandon Scherff needs to stay in a Washington Football Team uniform.  During his recent injury and absence, the line was not as effective in nearly every facet of the offense.  When he returned, the offense improved dramatically.  Scherff should definitely be re-signed.

Chase Roullier has been the unsung hero on the offensive line since his rookie season.  The former Wyoming center is durable and reliable.  His services are sorely needed and the Washington Football Team needs to lock him up, perhaps before this season ends.

Kyle Allen will be an exclusive rights free agent (ERFA) this coming offseason.  No other team will have the opportunity to offer him a contract.  Washington should offer him a modest three or four year-deal.  Having a reliable backup quarterback that is well-liked by the staff and players is a plus for the team.
