3. Lightbulb moment for Antonio Gibson

Against Dallas, Antonio Gibson had a game many had been anxiously been waiting for. He totaled 20 carries for 128 yards and a rushing touchdown. Granted, it came against the anemic Cowboys defense, but Gibson had his breakout game nonetheless.

Gibson realizing his potential will be crucial for both the present and the future. He still has a lot of potential as a running back. He is still learning the nuances of the position.

Against the Cowboys he got closer to untapping that potential. He still sometimes leaves yards on the field due to not having great feel because of inexperience. And the coaching staff still has not found the best way to utilize his skillset.

Sunday was just a small teaser to what Gibson can be. His emergence can bring good things for the Washington Football Team’s offense. A running back that is dynamic as both a runner and receiver is crucial in today’s NFL.

Antonio Gibson is on track to be a star. Sunday against the Cowboys is only the beginning for the promising young talent.
