No. 3 – The Washington Football Team is not ready to win now

Chief among the takeaways from today’s game is a simple realization: The Washington Football Team is not ready to win now.

If Washington was truly set to compete in the NFC East, as Ron Rivera had hoped, they would’ve asserted control against the 0-5 Giants and won. Instead, they came out flat, like they have all year, and wound up getting in their own way on the plays that mattered.

The Washington Football Team has a long way to go, and now, Rivera can no longer avoid that fact. It’s time to sit back and acknowledge the importance of thinking with a long-term mindset. That’s what Washington needs to eventually exact meaningful development.
