1. The Reality Is, this quarterback matchup is intriguing.

Given their draft positions, fans expected the careers of Dwayne Haskins and Daniel Jones to be constantly compared forever. But Ron Rivera had other ideas, having benched Haskins a couple of weeks ago. So, we get Kyle Allen vs. Daniel Jones. And this matchup is weirdly intriguing. The two players’ career stats are eerily similar:

Kyle Allen has a record of 6-8, with 62 percent completion rate, 3,662 yards, 23 Total Touchdowns, and 26 Turnovers.

Daniel Jones has a record of 3-14, with 62% completions, 4138 yards, 28 Total Touchdowns, and 35 Turnovers.

More from Commanders News

Neither has been playing on good teams. Both have shown flashes of upside. Both have looked unwatchable at points. The primary difference at this point is that Allen cost his current team a fifth-round pick and under $1 million in salary, while Daniel Jones cost his team a top-6 pick and is on a $25 million contract.

Jones lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Cowboys last week. Allen was knocked out in nearly arm-breaking fashion in the first half last week. It will be interesting to see who performs better this Sunday.

My Prediction: Neither of these offenses is good. But neither are these defenses. Daniel Jones will go 28-of-31 for 249 yards, two TDs, one INT, and one Fumble. Kyle Allen will go 22-of-32 for 221 yards and one INT.
