No. 3 – Defensive playmakers

As bad as Dwayne Haskins was before his benching, Daniel Jones has been almost just as bad for the New York Giants in the early goings of 2020. Jones has shown more physical potential, but he’s also been much more erratic from a production standpoint.

Through five games in 2020, Jones has completed 111 of his 182 attempts, for 1,111 yards, two touchdowns, and five interceptions. He’s also fumbled four times and lost three of those fumbles, bringing his turnover total to eight.

Overall, Jones is turning the ball over four times for every touchdown scored, and in the 18 games he’s played since entering the league, he has 31 total turnovers. It goes without saying that the Washington Football Team’s defense, having allowed 30 or more points over the past four weeks, has a chance to bounce back in Week 6.

Washington’s playmakers on defense, in particular, will have a chance to keep adding to their production totals. Think Kendall Fuller, Montez Sweat, and Chase Young. Against a suspect offensive line and a turnover-prone quarterback, they’re bound to have opportunities to make game-changing plays.
