3. The Reality Is, the O Line will be tested this week

Outside of Morgan Moses, who played a great game, the Washington offensive line was passable versus the Eagles on Sunday. The left side of the line was particularly uneven in their performance on Sunday. For example,

Geron Christian gave up a sack which led to what could have been a disastrous fumble. Wes Martin got pushed back into August on one play.  If they don’t find a way to communicate better and eliminate the big mistakes, Chandler Jones and the company may take off Dwayne Haskins’ head sometime during the second quarter.

Moses, Brandon Scherff, and Chase Roullier need to improve as well, but it’s the left side that is a particular concern.

My Prediction: It’s going to take a few weeks for these guys to gel as a unit. I don’t expect a dramatic improvement in their first road game. Expect them to have a few miscues, leading to three sacks and a handful of runs for negative yards. They won’t implode, but they will continue to be an area of concern.
