Positive 3

Creating and taking advantage of turnovers can quickly change the complexities of any game.  Win the turnover margin by a comfortable margin and it is likely the final score will be substantially in your favor.

Washington was able to manufacture two interceptions and turn them into two touchdowns while a late fumble recovery sealed their victory. Washington also had zero turnovers, but they did give the Eagles three opportunities along the way. Good luck can and does happen on occasion.

Negative 3

Covering tight ends has been an Achilles’ heel for the Burgundy and Gold over the years and that issue continued on Sunday.  Both touchdowns for Philadelphia were scored by tight ends.  Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert torched Washington for 101 yards on eight catches on Sunday – and he is the backup tight end!

The inability to cover tight ends in today’s NFL can strangle a defense and Washington needs to figure out a solution quickly.  They will be facing a number of teams with solid tight ends this season.
