4. Washington can’t let the Eagles get out to a fast start

In the opener last year, Washington was able to get off to a fast start, racing out to a 20-7 halftime lead before ultimately fading down the stretch. It is imperative that they get out to a fast start again this year and put the pressure on Philadelphia.

Washington is still a young team and simply isn’t built to score points quickly the teams need to be able to when playing from behind. That’s why they can’t fall behind early. They must come out swinging.

If Washington is able to get some points on the board early and get out ahead of the Eagles, they will take a lot of pressure off of Haskins and put themselves in a position to play the type of game they want to play. If it’s Philadelphia that jumps put ahead, Washington could be looking at another loss to start the season.
