1. Terry McLaurin sets career-highs in targets, catches, yardage, and TDs

Oh yeah, we’re finishing off our bold predictions really bold.

Terry McLaurin had the two best games of his career last season against the Eagles. In the season opener, he logged 125 yards. In the penultimate game of the season, McLaurin logged 130 yards. Once again, he should set a career-high in yardage, but it could be even better than that.

Because McLaurin is the focal point of Washington’s offense and is the only truly proven option on the unit, Dwayne Haskins will target him early and often. It also helps that McLaurin and Haskins have a strong connection from their days at Ohio State. Those two factors will give him a chance to surpass his career highs of 12 targets and seven catches.

If McLaurin is targeted that frequently, he will rack up yards. Surpassing 130 seems like a possibility, although battling Darius Slay will make it more difficult. Still, McLaurin caught five passes for 72 yards against Slay’s Lions last year on a career-high 12 targets, so it is possible.

For a cherry on top, I think McLaurin could catch a couple of TDs as well. That would match his career-best and while I don’t quite think he’ll have three scores in him, this type of day would surely be one that McLaurin would love to have and fans and coaches alike would love to see.
