Games 9-12

November 15 – Week Ten: Washington at Lions

Site: Ford Field, Detroit, MI

Time: 1:00pm EST, Television: FOX

Detroit takes a small lead early in the second quarter and the Washington Football Team can’t quite overcome two early turnovers.  They stay within a touchdown the entire game, but it feels like the Burgundy and Gold is constantly four touchdowns behind.

Final Score: DET 27,  WAS 21

WFT Record: 4-5

November 22 – Week Eleven: Bengals at Washington

Site: FedEx Field, Landover, MD

Time: 1:00pm EST, Television: CBS

The hapless Bengals come to town, but they prove to be a tough opponent for two quarters.  The Joe Burrow vs. Dwayne Haskins hype is overshadowed by another Ohio State alum – Terry McLaurin.  Washington is able to even their record as they look to maneuver for a wildcard playoff slot.

Final Score: WAS 37, Bengals 20

WFT Record: 5-5

November 26 – Week Twelve: WFT at Cowboys

Site: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX

Time: 4:30pm EST, Television: FOX

Another tradition is renewed as Washington travels to North Texas on Thanksgiving for a game against the Cowboys.  The home team seeks revenge for a close battle in Washington a month earlier.  The visitors are able to make it an interesting game early into the second quarter, but the Cowboys pour it on from there.

Final Score: DAL 45, WAS 24

WFT Record: 5-6

December 6 – Week Thirteen: Washington at Steelers

Site: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA

Time: 1:00pm EST, Television: FOX

With a few extra days to prepare for Pittsburgh, Washington marches to a chilly Heinz Field where the reception is even colder.  A tough defense stymies the Washington Football Team in this lopsided affair.

Final Score: PIT 28, WAS 10

WFT Record: 5-7

Washington is now looking at a season that has slipped out of their grasp.  While they are mathematically in playoff contention, it is not a realistic dream at this juncture.  Anything can happen, so Washington must forge ahead and hope for a miracle.
