Defensive Ends

Roster Locks: Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Ryan Kerrigan

There’s a clear gap between the locks and the less secure players at defensive end. Chase Young, Montez Sweat, and Ryan Kerrigan should all be a part of the starting rotation at the position, with Young and Sweat getting the most reps.

Behind Young and Sweat, Jordan Brailford and James Smith-Williams are the most notable players, as both have impressed at training camp. Washington will likely keep at least four defensive ends, so both players have a chance, but other challengers like Ryan Bee and Nate Orchard could complicate things.
