Sean Davis

Experience: 5th season

Draft Status: 2016 second-round pick (58th overall)

2019 Stats: One game, one start, five total tackles

2020 Outlook: The upcoming 2020 season will essentially be Sean Davis‘ fourth NFL season, as the 26-year old was placed on injured reserve midway through September last year for a shoulder injury. Davis is now healthy, and he has 41 starts at free safety under his belt, which should be enough to boost him up as the team’s obvious choice for the starter spot.

Expected Role: Davis is 6-foot-1, 202, and has 4.46 speed, a 37.5-inch vertical, and elite agility numbers. He’s a very good athlete, and his combination of physical talent and experience should lend him the keys to the starting free safety job early. He needs to keep working on perfecting his tackling angles, but he has the speed and range to compliment Landon Collins nicely as a deep coverage safety.

Status: Davis is a roster lock, barring any injuries or unforeseen circumstances, and he’s a near-lock to start alongside Landon Collins. Nothing will be handed out by this coaching staff, but Davis has the traits and the background necessary to hit the ground running.
