Greg Stroman

Experience: 3rd season

Draft Status: 2018 seventh-round pick (241st overall)

2019 Stats: One game, 18 special teams snaps

2020 Outlook: Greg Stroman essentially missed the entire 2019 season, suffering an injury in the team’s very first regular season contest. The year before, he showed some promise as a rookie, acquiring one interception and four pass deflections in 15 games. Since that year, however, he’s been buried on the depth chart by several free agent additions and seventh-round pick Jimmy Moreland, and he’ll have to work to re-emerge onto the depth chart.

Expected Role: Stroman would likely fulfill the role of special teamer, but he does have some experience as a defender, and at Virginia Tech, he was known for his ability to mirror receivers in coverage. Health will be key, and Stroman has to make a new impression on the current coaching staff, but he has utility in multiple areas.

Status: Stroman can make the roster if he impresses in the coming weeks, but he’ll have to work harder than most. He had no 2019 tape for Rivera and his staff to review, so it’s up to Stroman to make a new fresh impression, or else he’ll likely be out the door. Stroman could feasibly be retained on the practice squad if he fails to make the roster.
