Safety (5)

Landon Collins, Sean Davis, Deshazor Everett, Troy Apke, Jeremy Reaves

The deliberations surrounding the Redskins safety position should be pretty straight-forward. Landon Collins will obviously come back to start at strong safety, and although Kendall Fuller can take snaps at free safety, Sean Davis is expected to be the starter alongside Collins.

Behind Collins and Davis, Deshazor Everett figures to come back for another year as the team’s primary backup and special teams ace, and Troy Apke showed enough measured growth last year to warrant another season with the team.

I had a couple extra spots available when I finished my initial roster predictions, so I decided to add a player whom I’ve been a fan of for a while: Jeremy Reaves. Reaves is a physical player who plays fast and has a good special teams profile, and he could provide rotational reps at strong safety as well.
