Redskins Depth Chart Prediction

The depth chart for the tight end spot will be one to watch. Of course, this is no clash of giants, but new faces provide new opportunities to make an impact. Let’s take a look at the projected depth chart.

For now, Sprinkle remains the best bet to start. For one, he is the most proven commodity in a room of unproven talent. He has enough production through the air over the last few years to merit a legit starting opportunity. Sprinkle needs to work on his hands and blocking to be a lock, but baring a meltdown or injury, I expect Jeremy Sprinkle to be the starter.

Thomas, to me, seems like a good No. 2 fit. He is a decent blocker who has found success at times in the passing game. He has the physical size to be an effective blocker, and if he can improve his production in the passing game, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him make the roster.

Moss makes it as well, and being a raw talent, I think he will be a nice depth piece for jumbo formations and goal-line situations. He is young and has a lot to learn, but his upside could be a plus for the Redskins, which I am eager to see.

If anything, Moss provides Redskins fans with the chance to say that Bob Marley’s grandson and Randy Moss’s son both put on the pads for the burgundy and gold all in the last three years. While that may sound lame, who cares. We take the wins we can.
