Overall

The lack of a first-round pick hurt the Redskins immensely in 2013 and the team had a terrible miss in the second round.  They were able to add two very good players in this draft (Reed and Thompson), but five of the seven players selected were an absolute miss.

After three straight subpar drafts, the Redskins desperately needed to add talent in this draft and it simply didn’t come to fruition. The team limped to a 3-13 record in 2013 and the coaching staff was fired following the season. In retrospect, the results are not surprising when one considers how anemic the drafts were from 2010 to 2013.

The grade today all but matches our lowest marks given thus far and the organization was basically a mess after 2013.

As this series continues, we will soon sift through the 2014 draft and assign new grades and evaluations. This 2013 Redskins draft analysis was not a fun task, but we must put forth a grade and move on to the next article in our series.
