No. 3 – RB/WR Antonio Gibson

Most people here would most likely either put Derrius Guice or Adrian Peterson as the most likely running back to make the most impact on this Redskins roster. I, however, think Antonio Gibson will be the most productive running back in the group this season.

Taken in the beginning of the third round in the 2020  NFL Draft, many individuals thought the Redskins reached for Antonio Gibson. In hindsight, if Ron Rivera and the Redskins’ front office thinks Gibson will be a productive weapon this season, using a third-round pick on him will be well worth it.

Last season in Carolina, Scott Turner had one of the best dual threat running backs at his disposal in Christian McCaffrey. Many think Gibson will be the player that takes over that dual threat position in Washington. While I do not believe Gibson will produce the numbers McCaffrey is used to producing, one player I would compare Gibson to is New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara.

After being taken in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Kamara accumulated 728 rushing yards as well as 826 receiving yards with 13 total touchdowns. If Gibson can follow in a fellow third-round pick’s steps and duplicate or even exceed Kamara’s numbers next season, he should be an easy Pro Bowl selection in his rookie year.

Honorable Mentions: WR Steven Sims, RB Derrius Guice, C Chase Roullier
