Round 5

In Round 5, the Redskins brain trust selected another guard, Iowa’s Adam Gettis. We could end the story here and move on to the next round, but let’s show some courtesy here. And that ends our courtesy period.

Frankly, Gettis was a poor addition in the fifth round. He didn’t play in 2012. He played sparingly in 2013, and then he was released. Gettis has spent some time with the Steelers, Giants, Raiders, Buccaneers, and Falcons – mostly on special teams and as a little-used backup since his departure from the Redskins.
