Week 1 – Redskins vs. Eagles

The Redskins start their season at home against the Eagles, and while I don’t expect them to hit the ground running, this one should be competitive. Washington has something to prove with a rebound from a 3-13 season on the horizon, and Philadelphia’s roster isn’t as strong as it was a year ago.

That being said, the Eagles still have the advantage in terms of established talent, as well as coaching, and they should pull this one out, as much as the Redskins might challenge them. The speed in the Eagles’ receiving core may wind up being the difference, and defensive X-Factors like Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay always make things harder on an offense.

Prediction: WAS 20, PHI 27

Record: 0-1
