Week 14 – Redskins at 49ers

After their lighter midseason stretch, the Redskins have a much tougher string of games to conquer, starting with Dallas and Pittsburgh, and ending with two NFC West opponents.

The 49ers are a familiar foe, led by former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. While the foe is familiar, however, the setting won’t be. In 2019, the weather was a bit of an equalizer for the Redskins, as a downpour in D.C. made field conditions sloppy, and limited the amount both teams could do offensively. San Francisco won 9-0, and on paper, it made it seem like the Redskins kept it close. But the low score was more a result of the conditions.

But this year, the Redskins are better equipped to stay in the game even without the help of weather, and they’ll manage to put up a fight against San Francisco. The 49ers will ultimately win with a fairly safe cushion, as they have more talent and a substantial coaching edge. But Washington will have made strides by this point, and they’ll at least be competitive.

Prediction: WAS 16, SF 24
