Five most pivotal games on the Redskins schedule in 2020
Week 10: Redskins @ Lions
Chase Young wasn’t the only Ohio State Buckeye selected in the top three of the 2020 NFL Draft. The other was cornerback Jeffery Okudah who was selected one pick after Young by the Detroit Lions. Haskins and Terry McLaurin will have a test this week against the top cornerback from the 2020 draft.
This player matchup is one of the minor reasons this is an intriguing game for the Redskins. One of the main reasons is that this is the first road game the Redskins will have after their Week 8 bye. The Lions had just three wins last year, so the Redskins could have a chance to beat them for the second year in a row.
If that’s not enough to be happy about, after the Detroit game, the Redskins get to travel back home and play the Cincinnati Bengals. These two teams combined for only five wins last season.
If the ‘Skins can manage to beat the Lions and Bengals in those two games on the back end of their easiest three-game stretch of the season, they could them up for success in a Divisional game on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys.
